Did you know that this today is Military Spouse Appreciation Day? First established in 1984 by President Reagan, it was created to recognize and honor the sacrifices and contributions of military spouses. These men and women are described as “the silent heroes who are essential to the strength of the nation and they serve our country just like their loved ones.” It’s celebrated annually on the Friday before Mother’s Day with events on military bases worldwide and is part of the National Military Appreciation Month activities. Thank you military spouses for all you do for your family and country! Learn more at www.nmam.org.
